MoonDance Registration is now open only for a few lucky single men. We are closed for single women and couples for Moondance 2009. If your registration arrived after we reached our totals, you will be on a waitlist and we will let you know if a space opens up. Confirmations for registered dancers will be sent by July 18. About Us Harvest Moon Folk Society is a community of musicians, dancers, and dance callers whose mission is to promote, sponsor, and encourage participation in folk and traditional dance for people in and around upstate SC. We hold several public contra dances each month -- at River Falls Lodge in northern Greenville county, SC and at the YWCA in Greenville, SC (see read more below). River Falls Lodge dances are held on most first, third, and fourth Saturdays, and one Friday a month (experienced dancers only). Everyone is welcome at Saturday night pot luck dinners (6:30 pm). We recommend newcomers attend the orientation session which starts promptly at 7:30. The dance is 8:00 to 11:00 pm. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for teens 14-17. Camping space is available for out-of-town dancers who want to spend the night at the lodge. |
